Sunny Windy Rainy Lost Perfect

The weather has been everything. Within the same hour we could have used a raincoat, a tank top, or a warm jacket. It was a bundle-up, strip-down kind of day. Wet feet and sunburn. The weather app was useless. The google map app, in the tiny signal-less alleyways between buildings, also futile. We got lost, we got cold, we got tired, we got hungry at odd hours.

BUT we also found our way, warmed up, napped, and ate. We blew Ax’s mind with incredible architecture and art in the churches it was made for, learned about the technological wonders keeping Venice above water (for now), and journeyed to a beautiful island, San’Erasmo, where a wondrous ecology apart from the bustle incomprehensibly thrives.

We are all getting along. We are staying fed and rested and taking alone time when we need it. Kiki and I, at odds about everything and nothing at home, are fulfilling our agreement to be agreeable - Ax seems authentically enthused about everything: medieval art, kittens, ducks, drainage systems, and of course, gelato. It’s all perfect. I’m gonna keep going.
