New Year One Day at a Time

The new year is prompting me to think about gentle transition, about what I want to take into 2024 and what I want to leave behind.  I want to take the clothes, habits, roles, relationships that fit and leave behind the ones that don’t. I want to thank them for their service and with love and gratitude let them free. If I’m hoarding and clinging to what doesn’t serve the highest good of all then I’m not allowing those people and things to find situations that fit better for them, and I’m hampering my own growth too. The best thing I can do for the collective is take care of myself, my family, my community as I’ve learned how to do from those who came before me. And part of my self-care is taking care of others, but second. And showing up taking care of myself with love for all is part of who I am. I’m gonna keep going.
