What She’s Having
I was taking to my very cool friend Blaze Kawabunga about balance — internal and external and every which way, and she said, “Balance for me is more about quickly returning to center rather than staying there. Like actually I’m constantly off balance for one reason or another, but I regain a sense of balance really quickly. I don’t linger and rest in an imbalanced state.”
“Ok,” I said. “So how does that work? Were you born that way?”
“It’s practice. I know what I want and how I want to be and when that’s not happening I notice and I do what it takes to get there. Over time it’s gotten easier, less consuming, to the point where it’s pretty automatic feeling to just return, return, return to ease and love and like that.”
“Blaze, you are so dang cool.”
“I know.” She said.
“I want to be like you when I grow up.”
“If you want what I have, then do what I do and it will come.”
“I’m in!”
“Fabulous.”
I’m gonna keep going.
