Evac Day 31/63: Bending in New Black Leggings

I’ve been hunting for new leggings because I’m taking my first ever yoga teacher training starting soon and I would like leggings that don’t roll down, ride up, burrow in, or reveal what pants really are supposed to keep hidden, even when one is bending down, touching one’s toes, and stuff like that, which one does, in yoga, quite a bit. I know no one’s looking, or if they are looking then they get what they get. But still.

In the dressing room, the turn around, touch toes, look in the mirror between the legs test resulted in a scandalous number of outright fails.

What’s a fail? If there’s just way too much butt. A fail is if the cut, color, and wedgie/non-wedgie status of my undies is readily apparent when I bend over. Or if you can tell whether or not I have a birthmark.

Come on yoga legging industry! Come on!

So what happened was, I bought some black sweatpants. Not snug like I’m used to, not exactly flowy, but comfortable and passing of the dressing room bend test.

They’re not what I set out for, not what I thought would work for me. But they do and they will.

Look at me, adapting, changing, being okay with transition, even comfy. I’m gonna keep going.
