Warm Fuzzy Love Eyes
I was looking for a warm fuzzies love emoticon to send to a friend the other day and I couldn’t find the perfect one. All the heart-y ones were like, too lovey, and then everything else was not right at all. There’s the one with the two hands spread out like wings, I think maybe that’s a hug, but it just seems sort of odd and inscrutable. So what happened was I actually texted the words, “Hugs n Love.” I spelled love, l-o-v-e, not luv, though I was tempted. I wrote what I meant because I meant it more than an emoticon amount. Not heart eyes face or big pink heart or winking heart face love, but the real deal.
I mean it when I send the big pink heart, and the heart face, and the winking heart face too. I love the lovey emoticons and I use them quite often. Usually I group them with a thumbs up and prayer hands, or party hands, or party hat, or dancing girl. I remember the first time a girlfriend responded to something I texted with a heart emoticon. I was really touched. I think that was when I decided to lay on the love in textland too. It’s so easy.
In real life I don’t lay it on as much or as often. I don’t tell people that I enjoy being with them or that I love what they just said or give them hugs as much as I could or would if we were texting. I’m pretty lovey with Mike and Ax, but I’m talking about casual friends. I’m going to think about that today, giving the thumbs up, Namaste hands, love eyes, heart face, to folks in real life just because it’s easy – and I mean it.
